THINGS TO DO - BIG TEN TOURNAMENT

If you're heading to Chicago for the Big Ten Basketball Tournament, you'll need fun stuff to do between watching your favorite teams dropping dimes and makin' it rain . . . so we've pulled together some ideas of other stuff you can do while in the 312 outside of all the United Center B-Ball action. And the fact that the tourney culminates on St. Patrick's day has' not been lost on us! . . . In case you haven't heard, Chicago boasts the largest celebration of St Patrick's Day outside of Ireland, so if you're all about green beer and revelry then you're in the right place. On March 16th and 17th, this city will be lit with St Paddy's Day celebrations:

Rush & Division: Check out notorious party places like Dublin's, Butch McGuire's, Mahoney's Pub, Finn McCools, and The Lodge - they are all famous for turning up the volume for St Patrick's Day celebrations. But you better get there early!

River North: Green Door Tavern, O'Callighans, Fado Irish Pub, and The Kerryman are at the top of a very. long. list. of places to see and be green.

Of course, Pub crawls are all the rage too . . . just about every Chicago neighborhood has them - from Wrigleyville to River North, and every point in between!

And finally, you've heard about the Chicago River turning green . . . Bars like City Winery, Public House, Mother Hubbard's, and Emerald Loop are just a few steps from the green river action. And yup - they all open in the morning so you can start the elbow bending early!

Welcome to Chicago all you Baller fans . . .
